Healthcare Improvement

To ensure the health and well-being of every resident, I am dedicated to implementing policies that strengthen our healthcare system and make quality care accessible to all. This includes:

(A) Restoring Legal Duty:

We will support the annulment of the provision in the Health and Social Care Act 2012 that removed the legal duty of the health secretary to provide health services. By restoring this national duty, patients can hold the health secretary accountable for maintaining high standards of service in the NHS across the country.

(B) Increasing Funding:

We will advocate for a significant increase in funding for the NHS to hire more staff, improve morale, and enhance service delivery. By ensuring that healthcare workers are adequately supported, and resources are available, we can reduce wait times and improve patient outcomes.

(C) Expanding Access:

We will work to ensure that all residents have access to quality healthcare services, regardless of their socio-economic status. By addressing disparities in healthcare access and investing in community health programs, we can promote health equity and improve overall public health.

(D) Emphasizing Preventive Care:

We will prioritize preventive care initiatives to reduce the burden on our healthcare system and improve long-term health outcomes. By promoting healthy lifestyles and investing in early intervention programs, we can prevent chronic diseases and enhance the quality of life for all residents.

Together, by strengthening our healthcare system and ensuring access to quality care for all, we can create a healthier and more resilient community.
