Promoting Economic Justice

To address economic inequality and create opportunities for all, I am committed to implementing policies that promote economic justice and fairness. This includes:

(A) Implementing Fair Taxation:

We will introduce a windfall tax on profiteering corporations and raise the minimum wage to £15. By addressing the decades-long fall in living standards, we can ensure that working individuals are fairly compensated and do not have to rely on food banks.

(B) Enhancing Public Services:

We will ensure that everyone in Eltham and Chislehurst has access to essential public services like hospitals and schools. By reinvesting in public services and bringing key sectors such as railways, energy, and water back into public ownership, we can guarantee that these services are run for the benefit of the community, not for profit.

(C) Supporting Small Businesses:

We will provide support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to drive local economic growth and job creation. By offering financial assistance, reducing bureaucratic barriers, and creating a conducive business environment, we can empower local entrepreneurs and boost the local economy.

(D) Ensuring Fair Employment:

We will advocate for policies that protect workers’ rights and promote fair employment practices. By supporting collective bargaining, enforcing labor standards, and providing job training programs, we can ensure that all workers are treated with dignity and respect.

Together, by addressing economic inequalities and promoting fairness, we can create a more just and prosperous society for everyone.
